Gold and Shadows

Curses! Acting upon orders of nefarious Cardinal Verdugo, villainous Diego de Silva plans to strike at the heart of the Thean economy: the guilder! Can your group of Heroes stop the evil plot and give the war-weary nations some respite? In a series of adventures, they will chase after de Silva and also:

  •  Brave a storm!

  •  Visit Vesten fjords!

  •  Take part in a ball in Montaigne, while a revolution is brewing in the                   streets!

  •  Investigate a curse, Witcher/Hexe-style!

  • Assault the Villain’s lair – a compound hidden in the middle of a cursed vineyard!

Gold and Shadows is the very first campaign book for 7th Sea 2ed. It consists of 4 linked adventures and provides about 20-30 hours of fun. It is divided into four chapters and each chapter offers five or more scenes, each with sample Opportunities and Consequences. The module also provides plot hooks, campaign tie-ins, NPCs and a lot of ideas to inspire your games.

If you don’t like long campaigns, you can pick the module apart and choose scenes or other elements as you please.

Gold and Shadows has been published under the Explorer's Society Community Program. It requires 7th Sea 2ed corebook from John Wick Presents to play.

Praise and Reviews

I just wanted to take the time to say that I was absolutely floored by the quality of this product. It actually fills a role I find lacking in the sourcebooks in that it really lays out for you how to think about the narrative in story steps and possible avenues to explore dramatic and actions scenes. It's obvisous just by looking at the product you can tell a lot of passion and love of the game went into it and might be the perfect introductory or mid-point adventure to add into your campaign. Definitely will keep an eye out for future products from this team.
